About Me

I began with a degree in Psychology from the University of Paisley.  From there I worked with children and young people with autism.  During this time I also began my counselling career starting off with my skills training.  It soon became apparent to me that this was the path I was meant to follow, so I continued my training and went on to achieve a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling from the University of Strathclyde.

Whilst I was training I began working for a voluntary agency which provides counselling for people of all ages presenting with a wide variety of issues.  This work gave me valuable experience to carry forward into my future career.  In 2005 I started work with a YMCA Glasgow Project as a Youth Counsellor and in 2008 moved to an Ayrshire based alcohol counselling agency.  Currently I am working with the former YMCA, now Y People, project on a part time basis, and I also do some voluntary work for two agencies.
